Reigen - 14+
About the flipside of lovemaking, with lots of dance and deceit
Moniek Merkx edited the script of Arthur Schnitzler and, together with a big cast, made her own version of this intriguing play from the 19th century. A game of seduction and temptation in ten parts.
Welcome to the world of hidden agenda's, unlimited passion and the façade of lust and love. Reigen is about those who think of love as a game, who deceive and want everything at once. Greedy, melodramatic and as if their lives are at stake, they attrackt and reject, endlessly. They meet each other at secret places and return to their decent lives afterwards. Reigen is a montage-like experience about lust and love, in which the hot-blooded ambiance of the 19th century will be intertwined with camera's and phones.
Max. created this play for a broad, adult audience and for adolescents from 14 years old and up. Max. performs Reigen six to eight times per location, regular performances and performances for schools.
Workshop Bal Moderne
All the 2.000 students (of 14 years and up) that visit the play, will be introduced with the ambiance of it through a theatrical speed date programme. The boys and girls will both seperately practice a dance and get a workshop How to Meet and Make Contact. After that they have dinner together, followed by the play. After the performance they are invited on the set to perform their dance.
